Where does your data come from?
Free checks use official DVSA and DVLA data. Premium vehicle checks use data provided by Experian, the same data source used by major providers.
Do I need a contract or monthly commitment?
No. Every pack is a one-time purchase and the credits never expire. There is no subscription, no joining fee, and no minimum commitment. Top up whenever you need to.
How does the Early Bird sale work?
Every pack is 10% off during the launch period. The price you see on the card is the Early Bird price, already discounted, with nothing to type. When the countdown hits zero, prices return to standard automatically.
How fresh is the vehicle data?
Every premium check is fetched live from Experian. If you re-check the same plate within 24 hours we serve the same response (no second credit charged for stale data, and finance / stolen fields rarely change inside a day). After 24 hours we always refetch.
What if a check fails or comes back with no data?
We refund the credit automatically. You only ever pay for a check that returns real vehicle data.
How does the Trusted Dealer directory work?
Once you set your forecourt postcode + a short profile on the trade dashboard and tick "list me in the directory", you appear in the "Trusted dealers near you" panel on every CCC vehicle report when the buyer is within your pack's radius. Each pack grants a fixed listing window from the purchase date, whatever your credit balance: 10 Pack 20 mi, 25 Pack 35 mi, 50 Pack 50 mi (1 month each), 100 Pack 75 mi and 200 Pack 100 mi (2 months each). Buyers click through to your public profile to call you or visit your website. You also get a shareable URL: carcostcheck.co.uk/dealer/your-dealership.
